Betty Adams Elementary School will be having a Halloween costume parade
and classroom parties on October 31, 2018. The school parade will begin at
approximately 2:15 P.M. with classroom parties beginning after the parade.
The parade will be going through the school. Your help with the following
guidelines should help make this a fun and safe day for our students. All
costumes MUST NOT violate the Student Conduct Code Book. No weapons
or imitation weapons are allowed. Please leave guns, sticks, swords, pitch
forks, items with points, etc. at home. If in doubt, please leave it at home,
the costume will still look fine. Blood, scary, gory, and gross items should be
kept to a minimum. We have many younger students that may be upset by
“too much” gore. Please consider our younger students in costume
preparation. Save the real gory stuff for later. We will have a spot
designated for you to watch the parade. If you are choosing to come in
costume, it must be appropriate and you must be recognizable. We MUST
keep the hallways as clear as possible to comply with fire code. Costumes
should NOT be worn to school. We will have a regular instructional day until
just before the parade starts. Costumes may be worn home with the
exceptions of masks or other items that will impair your child’s vision or
safety. We appreciate your help in making this event a fun time for all of our
students. Please feel free to contact the office (303) 982-9790 if you have
any questions.
